Another year in the books!

Another year has passed, and it is this particular time that many reflect and wonder if they spent the year the way the wanted. Did they accomplish everything they wanted, or at least take one more step towards it? It all comes down to the idea of the glass being half full or half empty.

I can honestly say, that as I look back on 2008 it has had its ups and downs, but if I had to repeat the year, I don't think I would change much. It's true that there is no sense in living in the past, but every once in awhile, everyone will stop and think of what has happened thus far. Questions will be raised, but as long as we all can stand by the events of our lives and those around us, then year was well spent.

And while yes it is a new year, a new day, it is not a clean slate. What happened last year will follow you. The new year means that new things could and will happen, it means that history has another opportunity to repeat itself, and that December turns to January one more time. Life doesn't get erased with the start of a new year, it's just another page in the past for everyone.
So enjoy the holiday, watch the fireworks, and bring in the new year with good people. Because once the holiday is over, life moves on; break's over!
